Clarified
How it works

How a Clarified session works

Choose an expert, book 15, 30 or 60 minutes at a fixed price, and talk it through on a private video call. Here is what happens at each step, and what to expect if something goes wrong.
How it works

From question to next steps in one conversation.

No forms to fill in beforehand. You only create an account when you're ready to pay.

  1. Step 1

    Choose an expert

Compare real profiles: experience, credentials, the topics they cover and their prices.

Before your session

Get the most from your time.

You don't need to prepare anything, but a few minutes beforehand makes a short session go further.

  1. 1

    Write down your question

One clear question gets the most from the time, for example "Can we afford to overpay the mortgage and still save for school fees?"

  2. 2

    Have the numbers to hand

Balances, rates, salary or pension statements. You decide what to share; the expert only needs enough to understand your situation.

  3. 3

    Pick the right length

15 minutes suits one quick question, 30 minutes a focused decision, and 60 minutes a wider review of your plans.

Know what you're booking

What a Clarified session is, and what it isn't.

Being clear about this protects you. It's also why experts can focus on your question instead of a sale.

A session is

  • A conversation about your situation with someone who deals with it every day
  • A plain-English explanation of your options and their trade-offs
  • A second opinion on a plan you already have
  • Next steps you can act on

A session isn't

  • Regulated financial advice or a personal recommendation to buy a specific product
  • A sales call. Experts don't sell products through Clarified
  • Ongoing management of your money

If your situation needs regulated advice, your expert will say so. You can find an FCA-authorised adviser through the free MoneyHelper directory.

How do I book a session?

Find an expert who covers your topic, choose 15, 30 or 60 minutes and a time that suits you, add a short note about your question, and pay by card. You only create an account at that point.

Do I need to prepare anything?

It helps to write down your main question, for example "Am I saving enough for my first home?" or "Should I consolidate my debt?", and to have any relevant numbers to hand.

How do I join the call?

Open the session from your dashboard at the booked time. The call runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install. A camera is optional.

Can I talk to the same expert again?

Yes. You can book another session with any expert you've spoken to before.

Bring your question. Leave with a plan.

Most people book a 30-minute session. Some have their answer in 15.
